The Special Garden have signed up to the Towel Challenge

I have signed up our little group, "The Special Garden" to do the Towel Challenge to have a bit of fun and to raise awareness and funds to prevent, treat and beat stroke.  We are a group of young adults with special needs who meet each Wednesday to do various activities together to improve our social and community awareness, run by the Special Educational Needs Coordinator from a local high school, Jen Tioke.   We wanted to help with some fundraising.

In 2020 there will be almost 56,000 new and recurrent strokes, that is one stroke every 9 minutes.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and a leading cause of disability. It kills more women than breast cancer and more men than prostate cancer.

With your support, the Stroke Foundation can provide stroke researchers with the funding they need to find the next game changer in stroke.
